Micro Flower Farm
The flowers available through my CSA are cultivated year-round in the basement of my solar-powered home using hydroponics. Spring through fall I extend my growing space to the backyard of my home in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. In a commitment to sustainability, I use benefitial insects instead of pesticides to manage insects and only harvest half of my flowers, leaving the other half to nourish pollinators and provide beauty for my family and neighbors to enjoy.
